DBSK: Sleepless Knights

DBSK Sleepless Nights was founded on September 29, 2008 to commemorate the release of DBSK's album, Mirotic. Initially founded as a fanbase for southeast Asian fans by Portia, it developed into a fanbase for all fans, eventually adding a subbing team.

In supporting members of both TVXQ and JYJ, the site follows a universal approach similar to Super Junior E.L.Fs, supporting former and current members of any group ever associated with the group.  This can be seen in the range of material the site archives. Like other sites, DBSK Sleepless Nights shares photos, video, fancam, but it also provides translation of social and other forms of media, such as a Mexican newspaper that features an interview with Yunho and Changmin, and an interview with Gummy describing her concert appearance with Jaejoong in Japan. Any mention of any member of DBSK or JYJ warrants inclusion. The site also keeps a color-coded schedule of each member and both groups.

Because the site posts material multiple times a day, it has accumulated a wealth of information for anyone interested in the history of the group from 2008 to the present. The site has accumulated over 27,000 posts related to both groups, covering even the tumultuous years during the litigation between JYJ and SM Entertainment. The archive contains official reports on the lawsuit, such as a statement from SM:  "However, the three are not giving us their answers to our request of continuation on the activities, but instead declared to stop all of their activities in Japan. Therefore, we are here to notify that we have filed in a lawsuit on the 12th against the trio, to state our objection toward their provisional disposition of the contract terms and also to verify of the contract’s remaining validity."  It also contains fan responses to the lawsuit and the break up: "To tell the truth, not all of us have the high tolerance and knowledge to be able to just pass and ignore all the news articles spreading over the internet and the on the search engines. And also the fact that not many of us have unlimited knowledge of how lawsuits work, of course many of us will panic over the news articles talking about the rumors as if they were facts, and about DBSK breaking up. In these kind of cases we just have to stay strong when seeing overly exaggerated articles and false articles."

The site encourages self-policing by fans who participate in the Shoutbox, a chatbox devoted to interaction between fans.  The rules of the Shoutbox aim to keep conflict to a minimum and foster a safe environment for fans. Its rules include a prohibition on bashing any member of TVXQ or JYJ as well as rumours and unsubtantiated news.
