"Set up by Larry Heath, the online publication the AU review first appeared in Sydney in August 2008, with Melbourne coverage appearing soon after. In September 2009, the site was re-launched with its current design, the content direction was finalised, and the site expanded to Byron Bay and Gold Coast / Brisbane. 

As of May 2011, the site has over 100 regular contributors - with Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Launceston, Wollongong and Perth now amongst the cities covered. We also feature Australian focused International coverage at major events such as Glastonbury, South by Southwest (SXSW) and Canadian Music Week."
